4 2/3 cup sifted flour
1 tsp. salt  
2 cups butter
1 1/3 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

    
Sift flour and salt.  Cream sugar and butter together; then add eggs and vanilla.  Mix together.



Flatten, wrap in wax paper, and chill well, at least one hour.  Roll out on lightly floured board, about 1/8" thick.  Cut into shapes and bake on lightly greased pan at 400 degrees until edges are slightly brown.  Time will vary:  7 to about 12 minutes.
